About BlockyResearch
BlockyResearch is run by the same team that builds blockchain products. We cut through hype and speculation to show you exactly how protocols work — mapping out their architecture, mechanics, and the trade-offs behind every design choice.
Our Mission
To give developers, founders, and decision-makers the depth and clarity they need to evaluate, build on, and learn from blockchain protocols.
Technically Precise
We explain systems from the ground up, covering both the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ behind each design.
Ecosystem Context
Every protocol is placed within its broader technical and strategic landscape.
Built by Builders
Written by engineers who design, test, and deploy blockchain systems in real projects.
Our Team
The developers and researchers behind BlockyResearch.

Piotr Swierzy
CEO
Piotr has contributed to various projects, including NFT drops, NFT launchpads, NFT marketplaces, and decentralized exchanges (DEXs). He was part of the team responsible for porting the 0x protocol from Ethereum to Hedera Hashgraph, during which he worked closely with the Hedera core engineering team and developer advocates to address compatibility issues with their EVM. He has experience working with a range of blockchain platforms, including Hedera Hashgraph, Solana, Ethereum, and NEAR Protocol. Together with Bartosz and Maciej, he participates in hackathons. In September 2022, they won ETHWarsaw with Freech, a project built on Arweave. In May, together with Maciej, he won ETHDam in the AlephZero track with AlephChat, an end-to-end encrypted messaging app. He was also part of the team which won EthWarsaw23 with Smart Beaver.

Bartosz Solka
CTO
Bartosz has over 6 years of experience in developing fintech solutions for banks and medium sized companies. Over the last 2 years he was developing multiple blockchain solutions. He was the team leader of a team that ported the 0x protocol from Ethereum to the Hedera EVM. He is working closely with the core engineering team and developer advocates on extending and improving different Hashgraph capabilities. In his work, Bartosz is very thorough so that the project is always of the highest quality. In his free time, he participates in hackathons, in which he also achieves successes, in September he won ETHWarsaw with Freech, a project built on Arweave.
